A love of Kurdistan, the land of Noah and Abraham, its mountains, rivers and lush valleys, is evident in every contribution, yet, in 1923, the League of Nations divided this nation of some 40 million people between Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria. Since then the Kurdish people have been subjected to oppression and genocide, their survival only ensured by an indomitable culture and spirit.
